The Viglostasi residence is situated on a rocky slope overlooking the Aegean Sea. The residence is developed on different levels, optimally utilizing the steep slopes of the plot and maintaining an unobstructed view. The majority of the residence’s roofs are covered with vegetation, harmoniously connecting the natural terrain with the building. The architectural design of Viglostasi was undertaken by Studio Block722.
For the construction of the green roof infrastructure, the semi-intensive type Prasini Stegi DIADEM-350 was selected, with a diadrain-40H drainage network. The special design of Diadrain-40H allows for the retention of the maximum amount of water, which is gradually released to the plants, while also ensuring proper aeration of the root system. It is the most suitable choice for the dry, hot conditions of the Mediterranean climate during the summer months.
